On this page I have edited British TV's Channel 4's fabulous
1985 and 1986 Tour de France TV programme into downloadable clips.
You'll find the 1985 Tour on the left strip and
the 1986 Tour on the right strip - click on
each frame to download that stage's clip.

They range in size from 500k to around 1.9MB and vary from
3 minutes to around 12 minutes to download.
Just click on the frame of your choice, the start of the stage
being at the top of the film strip on the left of your screen.

In this month's selection, each caption will show you the Alpine
Stage 11 in progression from Pontarlier to Morzine-Avoriaz,
a stage where Bernard Hinault blows the race apart.
Only the great Colombian climber, Luis Herrera can stay
with him on these tortuous mountains...

On the right of the page we have various stages
of the 1986 Tour de France, capturing all of the excitement
of the key stages of that unforgettable Tour. Poor Greg Lemond
had no idea what was going on - did he?!

To save a movie file simply right-click with your mouse on the
caption of your choice and then click on "Save Target As".
