Team manager,
Jean Stablinski, enters Hinault into as many stage races as possible. This
perhaps forced him into considering a change of team at the end of the season,
but it was to be the team manager that would change . . .

Bernard Hinault signs his first professional contract at the age of twenty-one.
His first year as a pro doesn't go to his liking - he isn't used to being
